Rebuild Together Baton Rouge & Turner Industries Make a Positive Community Impact - Monday, May 03, 2010
|
|
Joseph Gales, a disabled veteran, and his sister, Jacqueline
Gales, have a new roof to come home to thanks to the nonprofit, Rebuilding
Together Baton Rouge, and the efforts of Turner Industries employees. The
Gales' roof, substantially damaged by Hurricane Gustav in 2008, led to a leaky
ceiling and a house in disrepair. Working intermittently over a three week
period, Turner Industries employees installed a new tin roof, a new bathroom
and water heater, storm doors and repaired the ceiling. The rebuild culminated
on April 30 with a fresh coat of paint applied inside and out and a complete
clean up of the house. Daniel Truxillo, our site manager at Honeywell/Geismar,
led the Turner team. A big thank
to you to all of our employees (listed below) who volunteered their time and
talents to make a positive impact on the community.
