Mechanical Service Contract for Shell's Deer Park Complex

The Shell Deer Park Complex is a 1,500 acre site located on the Houston Ship Channel, 20 miles East of downtown Houston, is home to a fully integrated refinery and petrochemical plant with approximately 1,700 Shell employees. 

 

Turner Industries was awarded the mechanical services work scope including routine maintenance services and small capital projects for both refining and chemical.  Turner will assume contract administration in July 2006 and will employ approximately 300 employees.  New Turner  Industries  management assignments include:

 

·         Greg DunnVP & Operations Manager for Regional support

·         Pat McDavid – Site Manager

·         Ike James – Site Construction Manager

·         Chuck Pitre- Site Maintenance Manager

·         Corey Stoek – Site Health and Safety Manager

 

The contract format will offer many new challenges for  our company , as Shell will pilot their new “Global Schedule of Norms” format with incentives and fee at risk based on key performance indicators (KPI’s).   Troy Bergeron, Turner’s Alliance Manager, feels that  we are up  to the challenge and will strive to deliver excellence in safety, quality, productivity, cost reductions, and continuous improvement, which will create the foundation for success for Turner at the Deer Park Complex.
