Accounting Dept. Sends Goodies to Our Troops

Pam Berry in the Turner Industries Accounting Department organized a drive to collect items needed by our Troops in Iraq.  Pam made contact with Capt. Bret Gilmore and through the course of several emails determined the items our Troops needed the most.  These items include toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, wet wipes, toothbrushes, antibacterial lotions, etc.  The entire Accounting Department really got into this, collecting over 5 boxes of items.  Thomas Turner graciously agreed to pay for the shipping of our goodies, which ended up weighing around 200 pounds.   Trudy Solomon talked to an employee she knows at Wal-Mart Super Center on O’Neal Lane who donated two boxes of assorted items.  Also included were “Thank You” letters and drawings from Lewis Vincent Elementary School in Denham Springs where Glenda Wolfe’s daughter is a Third Grade Teacher.  We, the Accounting Department, wanted to make sure that our guys and gals in Iraq understand how much we appreciate the sacrifices they are making and that they are in our prayers.
