Areas of Emphasis: Fabrication Operations and Project Support to include Material Control, Business Process Evaluation, Process Efficiency Improvements, User Training, Project Systems, Reporting, Client Interfaces and developing ad-hoc reports as required.
The primary functions of the Business System Analyst will be to assist Fabrication Division Operating Units with the proper setup and system configuration for Work Order, Sales Orders, AP, Billing, and Engineering Business Processes. Additionally, the candidate must be able to observe, document, and communicate existing business processes. This Analyst will be responsible for developing report and process solutions.
The functions of the System Analyst will be to provide technical support to Fabrication Operations, Customers, and other end users to process Sales Order entry, Purchase Order entry, data integrity, purchasing, billing and project/client reporting.
General Functional Responsibilities
• Provide technical system support to Turner’s South Texas Fabrication sites, and backup support to other sites. (Baton Rouge, Paris, Pt. Allen, Houston, Corpus Christi) • Training other System Analyst, Project Managers and Superintendents on the use of existing and new systems (Sales Order, Material Control, Equipment, Purchasing, Billing, etc.) • Work with internal and external Clients in developing system interfaces • Document new and existing business processes and develop training and job aid material • Conduct regular and ad-hoc user training to improve productivity • Develop standard system procedures • Assist the Production Department in producing productivity data for efficiency tracking • Assist in PIPS/BOM/Spoolgen/Imaging system interface • Assist Planners in setting up job cost code structures to monitor job progress • Develop programming scopes of work for developers • Assist in the review of contract requirements and assist in setting up system to meet contract needs • Assist in resolving data issues • Post job evaluations (information systems) with client and internal personnel • Assist Fabrication Management in evaluation of software solutions • Assist in fabrication data collection • Get job ready administratively for information processing • Reduce project managers manual tasks regarding monitoring jobs • Provide/develop exception reports to reduce/eliminate economic losses • Assist in streamlining billing processes to improve cash flow • Provide vehicle for sharing system solutions with all Operating Units sites • Continuous process and system planning and evolution of information technology to stay years ahead of the competition • Raise the knowledge level of Project Managers, Superintendents, Clerks, and Timekeepers on the functionality available in our computer systems • Eliminate the need for outside consulting services • Improve communications and cooperation between Fabrication operation, clerical and management personnel • Create and duplicate system procedures to be used consistently across job sites • Support RF Smart, CTAMS, Turner-Direct and custom interfaces/upgrades • Provide Technical Support, Training and coordination for all areas of Fabrication Business Systems • Develop, Present and Implement Best Practices • Provide weekly goals and Monthly status reports

Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience • Independent worker with ability to prioritize multiple issues • Experience with relational databases • Report writing • Competence with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project • Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Material Management beneficial • Travel • PC Desktop support experience • Thorough understanding of Network troubleshooting procedures |
