Job Description:
Advanced computing skills with a
working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Intermediate working knowledge of
Primavera Project Planner (P3, P6 or Microsoft Projects).
Has experience performing detailed
labor & material estimate with the following: Site Plans
Steel /Steel Plans
Piping Plans
Piping Isometrics
Comprehension of written
specifications to all items listed above.
Comprehension of P&ID’s.
Has experience using Turner
Application Suite products and can perform his/her duties with little or no
outside assistance.
Produce Job Estimates and Plans,
Foreman’s Update Books, CPM Based Schedules, Performance Reports and Graphs and
analysis of the same.
Interaction with cost control
analyst if available, assuring proper cost code charges to labor, materials,
equipment and services.
Interface with site supervision and superintendent,
owner/client, and home office contacts on matters relating to project scope,
schedule, progress and performance.

Requirements:
Specific pre-employment education, special skills, licenses or certifications required and/or preferred for this job:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Planner/Scheduler:
He/she may have experience level
of minimum three years in planning / project controls. This person has working
knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques, and also earned
value functionality in general. This person will also have knowledge and
working experience using P3, P6 and other scheduling tool applications. In
addition, he/she must understand all aspects of project controls, from estimating
to job close-out and job-tracking. He/she must be able to understand issues and
problems that arise out of job-sites and be able to communicate to upper
management the issues at hand.
Specific pre-employment work experience required and/or for this job:
He/She should have minimum 3yrs industrial maintenance or construction
experience relevant to planning, estimating & scheduling. Particularly in
Piping & Structural Steel Estimating. Able to put work-packages together
after estimate and plan in a schedule for resource loading and estimates.
Familiarization with project cost code structures, coding of
expenditures to the same, and the relationship of cost control functions with
planning and scheduling. Additional qualification standards: Must possess advanced communication, interpersonal,
organizational and problem solving skills.
Successfully complete post employment offer drug and alcohol
