GBRIA Safety Awards

The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc. (GBRIA) recognized Turner Industries with three Contractor Safety Excellence Awards, including the top award, the 2010 Hal G. Ginn Safety Excellence Award.  Turner also received two honorable mentions.  The awards were held at the Hilton Hotel in Baton Rouge, La. on July 28, 2011.

Turner received the Hal G. Ginn Safety Excellence Award for the second consecutive year for the best overall performance in contractor safety.  The award, named after Hal G. Ginn, reflects Ginn’s contributions to improving safety standards and expectations in the greater Baton Rouge area.

Turner Industries received first-place in Manufacturing and Industrial Building Construction and Maintenance General Contractors for large-sized companies.  Turner Specialty Services’ Non-Destructive Testing received first-place in the category of Technical Support Contractors for small-sized companies.  Turner Industries’ Specialty Mechanical Division received an honorable mention in the Construction and Maintenance Specialty Trade Contractors- Soft Crafts category for a small-sized business, and Turner’s Specialized Welding Systems also received an honorable mention for Construction and Maintenance Specialty Trade Contractors- Hard Craft category for a medium-sized business.
