BATON ROUGE, LA- Turner Industries Group, L.L.C. was ranked first by Engineering News-Record’s Top Contractors in Texas and Louisiana, and first in Top Contractors in Louisiana. The rankings reflect gross revenues managed for the region in 2010.
In 2010, Turner’s $1.56 billion in revenue for the Texas and Louisiana area ranked above Kiewit Corp. in Fort Worth, Texas, and Balfour Beatty in Dallas, Texas. Of those revenues, $1.17 billion, or 75% of 2010 revenues, came from the petroleum sector, over $600 million dollars more than other competitors. Other market sectors by percentage include: Power (12%), industrial process (8%), and hazardous waste (5%).
Turner’s largest project to break ground in the 2010 calendar year was Motiva Crude Expansion Project- OSBL GC-3, a projected $160 million project in Port Arthur, Texas. Turner’s contracting duties include civil work, pipe racking, piping, and tank installations. In the past three years the project has surpassed $150 million.
Turner was also ranked the top contractor in Louisiana with revenues around $1.2 billion in Louisiana.
