Turner Industries Employees Compete in “Plane Pull” to Support Association for Retarded Citizens

For the third year in a row, Baton Rouge, La’s TEAM Turner, Turner Industries’ employee volunteer group, participated in Baton Rouge’s annual Association for Retarded Citizens (Arc) Plane Pull, which took place at the Baton Rouge Airport in late October.  The timed competition consists of pulling a 727 jet airplane a distance of 12 feet. TEAM Turner had two teams of 20 participating and took 1st place again this year with a 6.1 second pull as well as 2nd place with a 6.8 second pull.

The ARC Baton Rouge is a non-profit organization dedicated to “improving the quality of life for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through advocacy services and support.” All proceeds from the event support the programs of The Arc Baton Rouge.
