Turner Industries was recently honored as the 2013 Industry of the Year at the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce Annual Luncheon. The award recognized Turner’s significant contribution to the Deer Park Community.
Turner Industries began operations in Deer Park in May of 1988 with its industrial construction division which was called Harmony Corporation at the time. Since then, their area footprint has grown from half-acre facility to nearly 30 acres consisting of a large regional office, a fabrication shop, a warehouse and equipment yard and a personnel office. Turner Industries’ expanding customer base has enabled the company to offer its full range of services including industrial construction; maintenance and turnarounds; pipe and modular fabrication; equipment and heavy rigging; scaffolding; industrial services including specialized welding; NDE inspection services; and environmental remediation.
Proud to have been one of a group of fourteen area companies that founded the Houston Area Contractors Safety Council, Turner Industries’ employees have been serving as officers, board members, and committee chairmen for the Houston Safety Council and Associated Builders and Contractors for the past twenty-five years.
The company is consistently ranked by Engineering News-Record (ENR) as the nation’s top maintenance contractor and was this year named ENR’s 2013 Texas and Louisiana Contractor of the Year.
