Turner Industries Earns National Safety Award from ABC

Baton Rouge, La., March 15, 2016 – Turner Industries has been named the winner of a National Safety Excellence Award from Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). Based in Baton Rouge, Turner Industries received the award March 2 during the 26th annual Excellence in Construction® Awards in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

“Turner Industries’ safety record demonstrates how a company-wide commitment to safety as a core value can deliver world-class results,” said 2016 ABC National Chair David Chapin, president of Willmar Electric Service, Lincoln, Neb. “Turner Industries’ safety record shows that in a culture that emphasizes safety and caring for its people, every incident is preventable and we can help drive the construction industry toward zero-incident jobsites. Our ultimate goal is that every employee returns home in the same—or better—condition in which they arrived.”
