Turner Industries replaced 360 fin fans across three LNG trains at Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction facility while the plant remained in full operation.

The 15-foot-diameter fans extract heat during the LNG process. Turner installed new Tuf-Lite IV blades, developed by Hudson Products, a Chart Industries company, in collaboration with Cheniere to improve plant efficiency and wind-load resilience.

Crews pre-assembled and pre-pitched blade assemblies on the ground during the day, then lowered them into place at night when temperatures were cooler. A custom jig template standardized the pitch across all 360 installations.

The team averaged three to six fans per day and finished with zero recordable incidents across 62,579 work hours.
