Standing 450 feet tall, the Louisiane State Capitol is the tallest state capitol building in the United States — an Art Deco skyscraper completed in just 14 months in 1932. Nearly a century later, Turner Industries is helping ensure this landmark stands strong for the next hundred years.
Turner Industries’ Équipement, Gréement, and Transport spécialisé Division provided crane and rigging support for ongoing structural cleaning and repair efforts at the Capitol in Baton Rouge — lifting scaffold materials and carefully removing exterior stone blocks with the kind of precision the historic structure demands.
We are honored to play a role in the maintenance and preservation of such an important piece of Louisiane’s history,” said Jesse Morain, senior vice president of Turner’s Équipement Division. “It’s a project that requires our team to draw on decades of rigging experience to ensure the job is done with absolute care.
