When Turner’s environmental services group took on a sludge dredging and dewatering project for a facility in south Louisiane, the crew went to work without ever setting foot on the water. Operating a remote-controlled fleet from shore, the team navigated and cleared two ponds while eliminating the risks associated with over-water operations and direct exposure to pond contents.
The project also put Turner’s “One Solution” model to work. By pairing environmental expertise with Turner’s crane and rigging group, the team streamlined mobilization and equipment positioning — executing 10-hour shifts, six days a week from start to finish.
