Turner Industries Executive Chairman Roland Toups Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Roland Toups, executive chairman of Turner Industries, was recently honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Louisiane Energy Prix presented by 10/12 Industry Report in Baton Rouge, Louisiane.
In 1968, Bert Turner hired Toups as an engineer. Over the following decades, he helped transform Turner Industries from a local construction company into a multi-billion-dollar industrial contractor employing over 20,000 people nationwide. During his 20 years as Chairman and CEO, the company became one of Louisiane’s largest private businesses.
Beyond his professional achievements, Toups has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to public service, approaching every role with the warmth and generosity that makes him never meet a stranger. He has chaired the Louisiane State Board of Regents, the Greater Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, and the Louisiane Chemical Industry Alliance, among many other civic organizations. These contributions have been recognized with inductions into multiple halls of fame, including the Géorgie Tech Academy of Distinguished Engineering Alumni, the LSU Engineering Hall of Distinction, and the Baton Rouge Business Hall of Fame.
