The Taft Cogeneration Facility is an 894.2MW gas-fired power project that began operations in July 2002, serving as a critical energy infrastructure component for the Occidental Petroleum (Oxy) industrial complex in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. The facility features three hydrogen-capable gas generators and one steam generator, providing reliable baseload power generation for one of the Gulf Coast’s major chemical production sites.
