Turner Industries is expanding its footprint in the future of American energy, announcing plans to develop state-of-the-art nuclear fabrication facilities in New Iberia and Port Allen. These two Louisiana facilities are dedicated to producing high-precision modules and nuclear-grade piping for the next generation of reactors and advanced modular power plants across the country.
The expansion builds on Turner’s existing Nuclear Piping, Nuclear Supports and Nuclear Assembly certifications, adding capabilities designed to meet the rigorous standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The New Iberia facility, located on 95 acres at the Port of Iberia with deepwater access and a 420-foot dock, will focus on modular assembly — building nuclear plant components in a controlled environment and shipping them to project sites to reduce construction timelines and costs. The Port Allen facility, a Turner anchor since 1983, will continue its pipe fabrication work with capacity for up to 6,500 spools per month.
“These Louisiana facilities represent a commitment in our workforce and our state,” said Turner Industries CEO Stephen Toups. “By specializing in modular fabrication and ASME Section III certified piping, we are ensuring that much of the next wave of nuclear innovation is ‘Built in Louisiana.’”
