Shell Norco GHT Revamp Project  

Turner Industries’ Specialized Welding Services (SWS) group completed the Tier 3 GHT Revamp project at the Shell Norco Refinery Complex. The objective of the project was to repurpose Shell’s GHT to be compliant with new Tier III regulations issued by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2014. 

The requirement set new emission standards and lowered the sulfur content of gasoline. The Norco GHT was an idle asset for many years. A large portion of Turner’s scope was to return this resource back into service by fabricating and installing new facilities as well as refurbishing existing equipment.
