Turner Industries Earns Top Spot on LSU Roaring 10 List

BATON ROUGE, La. – Turner Industries has earned the No. 1 ranking on Louisiana State University’s 2022 LSU ROARING 10 list. The LSU ROARING 10 recognizes the 10 highest revenue generating LSU graduate owned or led businesses from all those that apply for the LSU 100 each year. The LSU 100 recognizes the fastest growing LSU graduate owned or led businesses.

Several current executives and shareholders of Turner Industries are LSU graduates as well as the company’s founder, the late Bert Turner. Bert’s wife, the late Sue Turner, received an honorary doctorate from LSU College Art & Design in 2017.

“Turner Industries is honored to be at the top of the 2022 LSU ROARING 10 list. Our success would not be possible without our greatest asset—our employees,” said Turner Industries CEO Stephen Toups. “As Turner continues to operate successfully and grow, we are able to create more employment opportunities and career paths for students like those who graduate from LSU each semester. At Turner, we are dedicated to ensuring the future success of our industry and its workforce, inspiring the industry’s leaders of tomorrow, and supporting the communities where our employees and clients live and work.”

Postlethwaite & Netterville verified each company’s revenue over the past three years to generate the ranking. In addition to celebrating the success of LSU graduates, the LSU 100 and LSU ROARING 10 provide a forum to pass lessons on to the next generation of LSU entrepreneurs.

Turner Industries provides a single solution in heavy industrial construction, maintenance, turnaround, pipe and module fabrication, equipment, rigging and specialized transportation, and associated specialty services. With $2.36B in 2021 revenue, Engineering News-Record Sourcebook ranks Turner as the nation’s top maintenance contractor in petroleum, and one of the top contractors in Texas and Louisiana. The company, headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, employs 18,000+ and works across the United States.
