Who We Are

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT AT TURNER INDUSTRIES

Whether it is employees volunteering for a nonprofit organization or coordinating direct action efforts in response to a natural disaster, Turner Industries is always prepared to commit our time and resources to making a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.

MEET TEAM TURNER

Our Employee-Directed Volunteer Organization

TEAM Turner is our company-supported, employee-directed volunteer program promoting community involvement, teamwork, and camaraderie. It allows employees to identify charitable causes they wish to support and provides a structured framework through which volunteers and resources are directed.

From supporting families, schools, and hospitals to fundraising for veterans and emergency relief, TEAM Turner members do everything they can with the goal of improving the lives of the people in their communities.

UNITED WAY

United Way has always been Turner Industries’ major philanthropic focus because it serves the largest number of people in the greatest number of areas where our employees live and work. Today, more people than ever need the support services that United Way provides. For Turner’s 2022-2023 campaign, employee pledges along with corporate donations totaled $1,834,408.

RELIEF EFFORTS

Hurricane Laura

In 2020, Hurricane Laura became the strongest hurricane to hit the state of Louisiana. Before the clouds could part, Turner employees across the south began mobilizing resources and volunteers—serving more than 26,000 meals, installing 6,600 tarps on homes, and working more than 48,000 hours.

RELIEF EFFORTS

COVID-19

To aid and show appreciation for those caring for our health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, Turner employees across the nation provided meals for frontline workers and volunteered their time and company resources to area food banks and food drives.

RELIEF EFFORTS

Gulf Coast Freeze

In 2021, temperatures in Texas and Louisiana fell below freezing for several days. This caused many facilities to shutdown unexpectedly, requiring Turner to respond quickly. In total, we responded with personnel to 25 facilities—adding 875 craft personnel, including new hires and existing employees from other Turner offices.
