Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant
Services Provided
Turner Industries’ Pipe Fabrication Division fabricated 825 ASME Section III pipe spools for Units 3 and 4 of the Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant. This project displayed Turner’s expertise and capacity in handling large-scale, high-quality nuclear fabrication projects, contributing significantly to the expansion of one of the largest nuclear plants in the United States.
Turner’s Pipe Fabrication Division completed this scope of work with 296 employees working 156,175 workhours. The team fabricated 825 ASME Section III pipe spools, totaling 10,622 linear feet of piping and 2,800 pipe welds.
Plant Vogtle Units 3 and 4 are the first new nuclear units built in the United States in the past three decades.
