Emergency Job Tackled by Rope Access Team

Turner’s rope access group swiftly tackled an emergency job for the Louisiana Department of Transportation (DOT) at the Belle Chasse Bridge in south Louisiana. Tasked with inspecting the bridge’s drive shaft gears and associated hardware, the team expertly navigated underneath the structure, discovering two broken drive shaft couplings.

The rope access group promptly removed and replaced the couplings, while also addressing additional work requests. Turner Rope Access Operations Manager Nathon Williams proudly reported, “Our client was extremely satisfied with the work quality and response time. The job was completed incident-free, ahead of schedule, and saved the client over $45,000. This crucial intervention got the bridge back up and running, ensuring the smooth passage of marine cargo.”
