Rope Access Team Completes High-Elevation Demolition at Borouge International

Location
Louisiana, US
Summer-2026-Project-2

Services Provided

The Turner Industries rope access mechanical team recently completed a complex piping demolition at Borouge International in Geismar, Louisiana. Operating over 200 feet in the air, the crew successfully removed three vertical lines in just two days without using traditional access methods. The project presented unique logistical hurdles:

Difficult Access — The extreme height and a lack of nearby platforms required a well-planned, complex rigging strategy.

Critical Infrastructure — An analyzer house containing sensitive instrumentation sat directly beneath the drop zone, requiring flawless execution to protect the equipment.

Instead of erecting extensive, time-consuming scaffolding, the Turner team utilized advanced rope access techniques. This approach allowed for rapid mobilization, continuous safety oversight, and immediate access to critical work areas.

By eliminating scaffolding entirely, Turner delivered substantial cost savings and drastically reduced the project schedule. A job that would have required significantly more time and resources through conventional methods was safely finished in under 48 hours. This project highlights Turner’s commitment to using innovative rope access solutions to provide safer, faster, and more economical mechanical services.
