SIPA Crew in Alabama Completes 198-Foot Scaffold in 10 Days

Turner Industries’ SIPA crew at the Indorama Ventures Xylenes & PTA (IVXP) facility in Decatur, Alabama, recently erected a massive scaffold structure for the refurbishment of a cooling tower. This team assembled a scaffold with seven decks that spanned 198 feet in length and 20 feet in width on the east side, and additional 8.6-foot sections on the north and south sides. This structure, built with 4,435 pieces of scaffolding, was completed in 10 days without a single incident.

A special thanks goes to Armando Sanchez, Refugio Lopez, Francisco Martinez, Jesus Torres, Salvador Nava, Danny Vazquez, Jesus Degante, Victor Luviano, Lucio Hernandez, and John Lockhart for your dedication for maintaining a safe work environment throughout this project.
