Turner Industries’ SIPA team at the Ascend Performance Materials facility in Decatur, Alabama, led by SIPA Superintendent Cuco Sotelo, Jr., set the bar high during the recent HMD shutdown—both figuratively and literally. Tasked with constructing a 230-foot tower scaffold, the crew demonstrated exceptional teamwork and a dedication to working safely above all else. Their proactive collaboration with Turner and Ascend safety teams ensured that the project was completed ahead of schedule and incident-free. Cuco’s leadership, combined with the SIPA team’s skilled craftsmanship, made this a standout achievement.
