Turner Successfully Performs VAU Upgrades for TPC Group

Turner Industries successfully performed upgrades to the vinyl acetylene unit (VAU) at the TPC Group’s facility in Houston, Texas. This nine-month project involved replacing pumps and installing new coolers and exchangers for the VAU system. Through the combined efforts of Turner Specialty Services and Turner’s SIPA and crane and rigging groups, the project was completed on schedule, within budget, and with zero OSHA recordables.

Turner navigated underground discoveries, significant rain events, and extreme heat conditions while working more than 40,000 hours without a single injury.

Turner Industries’ work on the VAU upgrades at our facility was outstanding,” said Samuel Lee, Project Manager at TPC Group. “The job was done safely, without incident, on schedule and on budget. We appreciate their dedication and commitment to excellence.
